Some weeks ago I was biting my lips so much that it started bleeding and there was a little wound for some days. It made me thinking. Which one of your characters has ticks (thats how I should call it?), like stuff they do when they are stressed.

Thinking about it like this, sounds like just plus work, but I can imagine that in stressful days someone has something like this (like ocassionally pulling out a strand of hair or just scratching their skins). Talking about this now sounds kinda bad, but its just an idea. I just wanna hear your thoughts about it.

Don't worry I'm actually really happy to answer this 😅 I love talking about my characters. I am gonna put a readmore so the post isn't too long though.

Okay I'm just gonna do the main characters I usually post abt on here, hope that's cool

Scythe - Messes with the switches on his phone (ig it's a phone they have communicator things bc cyberpunk) when it's in his pocket, flicks his lighter on/off sometimes, especially when it's almost dead, rolls his tongue over the outside of his fangs/teeth (? I'm not sure how to specifically describe it) Bites his lips but less chewing on them and more dragging his fangs over his bottom lip.

Rael - Plays with his tongue piercing a lot, specifically rolling it against the back of his teeth, chews only one side of his lip because he got a piercing on the other side hoping to stop doing it completely and it failed 💀, cracks his bones a lot (not like breaking them just popping the joints in his fingers and wrists). He also bounces his leg a lot.

Iris - She's always tucking her hair behind her ear and it always falls back over her face lol, this is maybe a little gross but she plays with her cybernetic eye, like she'll move it around with her finger and then let it magnetically shift back into place in the socket. She flips pens around if she's writing something and can't focus. Crosses and uncrosses her arms a lot.

Kaspar - Chronic gum chewer, if he didn't wear a gas mask a lot of the time he'd be blowing bubbles with bubblegum. He rubs his thumb and 3rd finger against eachother a lot, and also anxiety shreds things. Like if he's nervous and holding a piece of paper it'll be gone in 5 minutes. He tends to crack his neck to the side a lot. And playing with his hoodie strings that's a big one.

Um!! Rambles ahead fair warning this is very just train of thought and there’s some body horror in the second set of images (weird mouths) BUT

Doc’s only art is a doodle from @the-rainbow-overflow BUT here’s doctor crimes, mev, and sweets-

Doctor Crimes is always kinda funny to me. Like she’s incredibly fucked up but also. Lady flunks out of med school and changes her legal name to doctor so she can’t be caught lying about being a doctor. The last name was for sillies about the lab used as a medical clinic and also bc she thougut it was funny. She’s very discreet in regards to mutations! And drops her already low prices if u let her do a lil experiment on u! Or give her like. A lot of your blood or smth. For experiments. She’s got an in house living Frankenstein who just gets parts put in her for the sillies. And her lab is wired into the nervous system of a psionic gold who thinks it’s very funny to pretend to be just an ai controlling things and not like. A literal person in a back room. Sweets also loves to have the 3d printer running for silly jokes and um. Doc doesn’t complain. Sweets can use up extra power bc. They’re the power source lol. And there’s plenty to go around

The first one of these doesn’t have a name yet! But the science lady who made the goop, and some experiments From the goop (Ethann, Beastly, and Lovely)

Science lady looked at her mutations and went hm. Neat! Let’s play with that. And um. Sometimes fleet science funds go to a lady making weird ass clones intended to emphasize or minimalist mutations. If she thinks they’re cool she keeps them for observation. Ethann wants to get Out he’s a housecat pacing in a zipped up tent and yelling. Beastly gets to roam around on good behavior and also to see what happens. Lovely sometimes gets supervised field trips to the library. If you meet this geneticist there’s a very strong chance she’s gonna try and get a sample of your dna to add to the goop. She’ll also not deny it if u catch her. But also she checks up in person when beastly makes a friend bc like. She’ll turn a blind eye to the fucked up things she does at the lab but heavens forbid one of her experiments be in a bad social relationship. She’d feed u to her experiments if u hurt one of their feelings. As one does! It’s not like they’re strangers to cannibalism- failed experiments gotta go somewhere after all

I think I’ve just got the two groups but I’ve got a couple random folks here and there with cybernetics or working in robotics but that feels like a different flavor of science, yk? And I can’t add enough images to physically show u but um.

Bill and maybe Spooky are livin w experimental cybernetics (different from doc just working shit out on her own, like actually new shit or tactics not reverse engineering)

Pandor and fogs unnamed sister are working in robotics and have made a number of drones under the fleet, although Glitch needs her memories set back every so often due to the rebel leanings (she and Pandor have a whole routine for it. The only reason she keeps this up is bc she knows Pandor and the folks r on thin ice for mutations and also they’re kind of hyper specific. So she’s like hey I’m Not gonna get these folks up shits creek till I can get them out. She’s dating a pirate tho so it’s fine she gets the gist of it) and Sparks is currently missing (sometimes a medical android forgoes charging for a while due to is stubborn and becomes an accidental stowaway. And is charmed by the pirates that were transporting it. Yk as one does)

and Wrench is TRYING to figure out ai and can make robots function without them, but like. It achieved one(1) robot that can act independently and has been struggling to repeat that since. Babes u chucked ur ancestors ghost in there she’s just too stubborn to let u know that.

THAT BEING SAID, heres my list of criticisms for CP2077 so far because i’m not just blindly praising it. under a readmore for a few spoilers, one major character spoiler so if you’re playing don’t read this until youre finished with act 1

this isnt bringing into the account of the criticisms console players are talking about bc im on PC, but i completely agree with frustrated console players about launch being a mess.

the fact that they cut you being able to take jackie with you to go meet with meredith is really frustrating. i wonder if they lost time and it broke something because it was in the gameplay demo from a while back.

on the same vein, t-bugs ‘death’ was so sudden and fast that i didn’t even register it as her supposedly dying until v brings it up later in the level. i thought she had just gotten hurt and booted from the program. if she’s actually dead i’m going to be incredibly disappointed and its going to be one of my few genuine sour notes on the game.

the romances are laughably inserted and shouldn’t have even been part of marketing in my opinion. from my understanding it looks like they’re all sidequests and there’s only like four of them total anyways. dont bother if your v isnt into one of the two options they have and just pretend youre kissin whoever you want lol

takemuras introduction was amazing but i feel like i missed a dialog somewhere that explained why he ended up getting chased by arasaka so fast after the events of act 1. i know his motivation but am a little confused about whats going on.

in the same vein, some optional dialog choices don’t actually feel optional if you don’t want to feel like you’re missing context for whats going on. i don’t mean this in a lore way, i mean this in a basic narrative way. 

i like that v clearly has their own personality that you kinda tweak and manipulate through your own actions, like with geralt in the witcher series. however i completely understand if people were lead to believe they’d be getting COMPLETE FREEDOM and are let down by the reality of V being a slightly less mailable character. as someone who likes witcher and the dragon age and mass effect series i’m okay with my oc having a pre-ordained personality but marketing could easily have misled people to believe otherwise and thats a totally valid complaint.

i love jackie to DEATH and hes one of the most likable videogame characters ever. however i do wonder sometimes if he suffers from ‘bilingual people don’t talk like that’ syndrome. it can get kinda muddy given how translators work in this universe.

in the same vein i think some of the calls for the game being transphobic or misogynist are overblown but i feel like part of it is the game might not be properly relaying that the overly sexual, violent, objectifying advertisements in 2077 is actually part of the lore and not CD trying to be cheeky ala Saints Row. Its a crit on consumerism and how desensitized the populace of the future gets to hatred, violence, and sex that it has to be overblown to the point of ludicracy. it might not translate for someone who hasn’t taken the time to look into the lore or familarize themselves with the vibe of the series before picking up the game. YES it is incredibly gritty and dark, but thats the point. However I think that fact needed to be communicated better because it just won’t be palatable for some people. Its stuff like this that makes me think we really need content warnings ALA fanfic for... all media, really. its a good idea. i could see the ‘fuckable piece of meat’ line being genuinely terrifying for some people and it comes out of nowhere. I like dark media and content but i don’t know if the game properly conveys beforehand that this is a BLEAK. world. BLEAK. 

i also think, unfortunately, its clear the team was crunched and ran out of time for a lot of things they wanted to add into the game. i feel like tying gender to v’s voice was the most elegant solution they had considering all of the voicelines in game. not saying it’s the best solution, but i’m glad they did that rather than tie it to body type or genetalia.

that being said i wish you could have a biotic pussy or dick in this game just bc that would be some cool transhumanism. same in general i wish you could replace limbs or eventually get more cyberware options that changed how you look.

I’m glad they’re gonna fix the epilepsy trigger but I’m also surprised and disappointed no one caught that might be a problem earlier on. I wonder what play testing was like.

Also glad the dev team isnt going to be treated like the new vegas team and they’re getting their bonus regardless of the game’s review score. that’s some stupid bullshit but every publisher does that shit unfortunately.

the fact you cant change your makeup, cybernetics, or hair after the start is dumb and i hope they fix that.

the c key being for crouching AND skipping dialogue is inelegant to say the least. you can fix it in settings for skipping dialogue to be ‘hold c’ but it shouldn’t have been an issue in the first place.

ai definitely wasnt finished and it shows. largely in how theres clearly no AI driving and how cops feel half-implimented.

managing stash is CONFUSING. so is the hacking minigame until you get used to it.

it is a LITTLE apparent that you’re going to go into Cutscene Time because characters tell you to sit somewhere specific. However once you’re in those locked scenes the game is still super immersive and beautiful so it’s not too bad.

i don’t understand why youd buy a car when you have one already and a motorcycle but i’ll still probably shop around for funsies

combat definitely feels floaty but ive played bethesda games and nothing can be as bad as those so its fine for me.

i know there’s more but thats what i have so far. I’m having a great time but those are my Thots.
